It’s not likely that Brett Favre’s latest foray into Sugar Ray Leonard territory will fail miserably — after all, given the hype, he’s practically a winner regardless of what transpires on the field — but Tarvaris Jackson’s solid performance to end last year’s regular season and stellar play in Friday night’s contest against the Chiefs could make this Vikings locker room a tad testy.

It’s easy to come down on athletes for their transgressions. Hell, just look at this website. Look at Deadspin. Look at all of ‘em. But there’s a difference between Plaxico Burress, Dante Stallworth, Marvin Harrison, et al — grown men — and kids like Michael Beasley. Nice to see that Jason Whitlock made the distinction.
